Moreover, the designs here are wonderful. I would recommend this book to any new (or aspiring) knitter. In fact, I like these books so well, I'm ordering them—and book 2, which I have not seen,—for my own library. [ 03.19.07 ]

I have her book 2: The Purl Stitch. I decided to knit my first pair of socks using her pattern...I have run into a stumbling block:

My gage is correct and I am working on a pair of socks for my husband..I cast on 84 stitches..I ran into a problem when I needed to work on turning of the heel...I can't find anyone who can help me with the new math when I start the short rows..can you direct me to anyone who can help me find the correct number of stitches ..
I would appreciate any help you can give me..I am frustrated
