You know that mythical video game that will one day actually bring you to tears? Its name is Ico and it was made in 2001. A series of movement puzzles that uses gameplay (not cut scenes) to create character and deep emotional investment. Spare, beautiful, and deeply moving. If Portal is a perfect short story, Ico is game as poetry. Highly, highly recommended.
