Why would she be moved by the situation in the orphanage? Why would his better nature finally appeal to her? Why would he even fall in love with her in the first place? If I had a few clues—from the beginning—to that side of her character, I could have believed all the rest of the story. Mr. Norton is smouldering. [ 02.05.07 ]
