So happy to read this, what a great story. It makes giving birth seem so... normal. My favorite line:
Shortly after this picture was taken, Jeff and I sucked down the umbilical cord all Fear Factor style. And then we stuffed the placenta with rice, ground beef, and onion and baked it at 375 for 45 minutes. Birkenstock!
