Re: the happiest place on earth: I think you need t read the fine print. The article refers to a ranked list of countries at http://www.happyplanetindex.org/list.htm. If you follow the link there "About the HPI" (Happy Planet Index), it says specifically The nations that top the Index aren’t the happiest places in the world. Rather, it is an index of ecological efficiency, not the same thing. Look at the comments on the article, and other countries near the top of the list: Columbia? Cuba? Vietnam?

traveled much? well I figure not ,first of all it is not spelled Columbia it's Colombia;I am not a resident of that country but am appalled at your judmental comment.What is in your oipinion happiness?
