» As a white person who grew up in the North, I read the story of the Louisiana bus driver who allegedly made all the black children ride on the back of the bus and I think, "That can't be right. Surely there must be some misunderstanding." Then I read the story of the Mississippi church that has banned black people from attending—including the mixed race boy who accepted Jesus there just two weeks before—and I think "Oh."
